About Us
No Bull Intentions Ltd is an independent software developer founded by industry veteran, Phil Ings, in Hampshire, England in April 2013. We are situated on the shores of Portsmouth Harbour, with fantastic views of the Spinnaker Tower.
In early 2016, we had just published our third adventure game on Steam and were contracting on two further adventure games. When a previous collaborator found himself double-booked, we took over his project in collaboration with Figment Productions for the Royal Mint Experience in Cardiff. This project proved to be the catalyst that led to the company pivoting from videogames into museum and visitor attraction software. We soon realized that the skills we'd picked up working in game development were remarkably useful when carried over to on-site experiences and visitor navigation apps. They gave us new perspectives on existing problems and gave rise to new, innovative solutions.
In September 2016, we partnered with Guidekick in order to develop a series of on-site visitor applications for galleries and museums, including de Young, The Frick, Iolani Palace and the Asian Art Museum. We also worked on digital twin projects for Indianapolis Airport and The Pratt Institute.
When Guidekick was acquired by ServiceChannel and moved out of the mobile app business, we went solo. Since then we have worked on projects for the National Gallery of Art, The Getty Museum, and The California Migration Museum.
As well as our client projects, we have developed our digital label system touchscreen interactive for museums. In 2023, we started development on a new architectural visualization web app aimed at the real estate and facility management industries.
